The 65th Festival of Croatian Amateur Theatres will once again take place this year—its eleventh consecutive year—at the Cultural Centre Vodice. The event is organized by the Croatian Cultural Association and the Vodice Centre for Arts and Culture. During the six festival days, from Thursday, April 24 to Sunday, April 27, and from Saturday, May 3 to Sunday, May 4, a total of twenty-two performances will be staged, representing the best Croatian amateur theatre productions of the year.

Vodice Tourist Board is organizing a picnic in Rakitnica for all citizens and guests of Vodice. The picnic is held by the church of St. John, with participation of the music ensemble and the Cultural Association Vodiške perlice, which will show the traditional customs of preparing wild greens and polenta. At 11:15 a guided walking tour starts from the picnic location to the Liburnian-Roman site on Velika Mrdakovica. The picnic starts at 10:00 with transportation from the Vodice bus station organized for all visitors from 8:30, every half hour.
One of the most attractive mountain bike tracks and race in Croatia, besides demanding climbs and steep descents, offers an unforgettable view of Vodice and the surrounding islands. Mastering this track is the true adrenaline experience you will never forget!

An exhibition of storytelling objects and a presentation of the continuation of the journey through the Archipelago of Dreams
If you’ve ever dreamed, as a lover of stories, of actually stepping into the scenarios you've only read about, this event might be just for you. With event hosts Sanja Mrša Vukman and Antonija Škugor, surprise guests are also expected.
The traditional Easter Breakfast will be held on Easter Monday in Vodice on Kneza Branimira Square starting at 9:45 am. In addition to the festive table that will offer visitors local specialties, an entertainment program and a fair of local products have been prepared.

The Bokon Youth Association from Vodice is organizing the first-ever skate competition in Vodice – "Bokon Jam"! To celebrate the first event in the new skatepark, they are bringing the best of Croatian skateboarding. The competition features three different disciplines, along with a skate market showcasing local skate brands, as well as the Bokon bar and a rich gastronomic offer.
The Vodice Center for Art and Culture, in collaboration with the City of Vodice, the Institute of History in Zagreb, and the Šibenik City Museum, is organizing the scientific conference "Vodice Through History II." which will take place on Saturday, April 12, at the Cultural Center Vodice.
Following the first scientific conference held in 2019, after which a collection of papers was published, the exploration of Vodice's forgotten past continues. On Saturday morning, attendees will have the opportunity to listen to ten new scientific lectures on the history of Vodice and its surroundings.
As part of the Second Scientific Conference "Vodice Through History", which will be held on April 12 at the Vodice Cultural Center, a day earlier the Vodice City Library will host the opening of a study exhibition by Tončika Cukrov. The exhibition is dedicated to the painting work of Ignjat Job and brothers Ive and Mate Čače during the interwar period in Vodice. The exhibition will be open until May 7.
The Vodice City Library is pleased to announce a visit by the renowned writer Julijana Matanović. Julijana will talk to us about her novels and will surely touch upon her connection with our region — Vodice, where she spends her summers, and the island of Prvić, where she loves to recharge her batteries.
The Center for Art and Culture has hosted the Croatian National Theatre Šibenik during the renovation of their building. Therefore, the new play by the Šibenik ensemble will be performed at the Cultural Center Vodice.
The premiere of the play Opportunities Pick Strawberries, written and directed by Bojan Brajčić and starring Ana Perković, Lucija Alfier, and Kristian Šupe, will take place on April 8 at 8 PM.
For the reprise performances on April 9 and 14, tickets can be purchased at the HNK Šibenik marketing office on weekdays from 10 AM to 12 PM, an hour before the performance at the Cultural Center Vodice, and via the Moje Karte online portal.
The audience in Vodice can collect their tickets for the April 9 performance at the Cultural Center box office from Monday, April 7, to Wednesday, April 9, between 11 AM and 1 PM, as well as one hour before the performance, on April 9 from 7 PM. The number of tickets is limited, so hurry to get yours!
Another edition of the Festival of Croatian Amateur Theatres is approaching, once again taking place in Vodice in co-organization with the Croatian Cultural Association and the Vodice Center for Arts and Culture.
From April 24 to 27 and May 3 to 4, the Vodice Cultural Center will host twenty of the best performances from across Croatia, selected for their excellence to participate in this most significant and prestigious national showcase of amateur theatre, evaluated by professional selectors.
The Vodice Center for Art and Culture will ceremoniously open the archaeological exhibition ON LIBURNIAN SOIL – HILLFORTS IN THE HINTERLAND OF VODICE on Thursday, March 27, at 7 PM in the atrium of the Vodice Cultural Center. The exhibition is authored by two archaeologists, Marko Menđušić and Emil Podrug, a museum advisor at the Šibenik City Museum.
Vodice Center for Art and Culture presents a performance by Zagreb City Theatre Komedija, The Double Bass by Patrick Süskind, directed and performed by Filip Sertić.

The creative team behind the play consists of Filip Sertić and Fabijan Pavao Medvešek, academically trained actors and former classmates at the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb. The play's script was developed based on the real-life experiences of Filip Sertić and his journey in Los Angeles.
