In honor of Ivo Brešan, born on May 27, 1936, the City Library of Vodice is organizing the Ivo Brešan Day colloquium for the fourth year in a row with the aim of researching and presenting the diverse dimensions of Brešan's literary and artistic creativity.
The partners in the organization of the colloquium are the professors of the Department of Philosophy of the University of Zadar, the Ministry of Culture and Media, the City of Vodice, the Vodice Center for Art and Culture, and Vodice Tourist Board.
In collaboration with Karika Vodice, Vodice Tourist Board presents Coffee Break Tour! The city center sightseeing, led by a licensed tour guide and is held in English and Croatian. Free of charge!
Kayaking into the sunset is certainly one of the most original memories you will take from Vodice! The trip includes equipment rental, expert guidance, technical support and insurance, all completely free! Groups are limited to 10 participants, so book your date on time at Karika Vodice.

The festival program will offer the audience excellent performances of different poetics, genres and styles, and a very important segment of the FHKA program are the round tables of the members of the Commission who will talk with the participants in order to evaluate the performances and provide additional education for the participants. All festival performances will be closely monitored by the judging committee, and at the end of the Festival, on Sunday, May 19, nominations and awards in nine categories will be announced.
Admission to all performances is free!

Join this complimentary (free of charge), peaceful guided walking tour where you will experience the spirit of Vodice history and learn the secrets of its longevity. With a magnificent panoramic view and the story of the miracles of Okit Hill, taste local delicacies and bring home a souvenir.
Start: The Okit hill can be reached on your own (3 km from the center of Vodice). The walking tour starts from the foot of Okit Hill, the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Carmel, to the top and back, a total of 1600 m.
Duration: 1 hour and 30 minutes. The pace of the tour is suitable for all ages.

Vodice Tourist Board is organizing a picnic in Rakitnica for all citizens and guests of Vodice. The picnic is held by the church of St. John, with participation of the music ensemble and the Cultural Association Vodiške perlice, which will show the traditional customs of preparing wild greens and polenta. At 11:15 a guided walking tour starts from the picnic location to the Liburnian-Roman site on Velika Mrdakovica. The picnic starts at 10:00 with transportation from the Vodice bus station organized for all visitors from 8:30, every half hour.
One of the most attractive mountain bike tracks and race in Croatia, besides demanding climbs and steep descents, offers an unforgettable view of Vodice and the surrounding islands. Mastering this track is the true adrenaline experience you will never forget!
During the month of May, there are many events that mark the City of Vodice Day, which is on May 3rd.
A traditional recreational bike ride which marks the beginning of spring. Start at 12:00 h in the town center (by the monument).
On Saturday, April 6, the Vodice Cultural Center will be a stage for theater amateurs from Šibenik-Knin County to be included in the repertoire of the 64th Festival of Croatian Theater Amateurs, which will be held in Vodice in May. This year, the Festival selector for our county is Tamara Šoletić, a theater and television actress, reciter and puppeteer, well known to a wider audience from numerous domestic television series. Admission to all performances is free.

The traditional Easter Breakfast will be held on Easter Monday in Vodice on Kneza Branimira Square starting at 9:45 am. In addition to the festive table that will offer visitors local specialties, an entertainment program and a fair of local products have been prepared.
