Another edition of the Festival of Croatian Amateur Theatres is approaching, once again taking place in Vodice in co-organization with the Croatian Cultural Association and the Vodice Center for Arts and Culture.

From April 24 to 27 and May 3 to 4, the Vodice Cultural Center will host twenty of the best performances from across Croatia, selected for their excellence to participate in this most significant and prestigious national showcase of amateur theatre, evaluated by professional selectors.

The hosts, the Amateur Drama Ensemble of the Center for Arts and Culture, are competing for a spot in the repertoire of the 65th Festival of Croatian Amateur Theatres with the play My Name is Judita, Judit is My Name (Milinović – MARULIĆ – Maroević), created to mark the 500th anniversary of Marulić’s death.

Two other performances from our county are also in competition:

• Repatica/Vratija se Šime, performed by the Association of Retirees of Krešimir's City
• Babe i bend (Ajte babe leć), performed by KU Šibenske Promenade

The selection process will take place on Sunday, March 30, at the Vodice Cultural Center, overseen by Andrijana Vicković, actress of the Croatian National Theatre in Split.
