Hungarian Day
5:00 PM – Calligraphy Workshop (Vodice City Library)
Join us for a free calligraphy (beautiful handwriting) workshop and discover the calm it brings. The workshop is a gift from our Hungarian artists from the art colony Charlotta Lavanda, who will also lead the session.
Whether you're a complete beginner or someone who loves doodling on scraps of paper, come try something new, slow down, and maybe discover a hidden talent. Seats are limited. Register in person at the library, by phone at +385 22 442 095, or by email at info@gkv.hr.
7:00 PM – Opening of the Charlotta Lavanda Art Colony Exhibition (Vodice City Library)
It is well known that many people from inland regions love the sea even more than those who live near it. This also applies to Hungarians – especially the young Hungarian artists currently staying in Luka on the island of Prvić.
These young creatives express their art through the Charlotta Lavanda Art Colony. Every summer, they gather in Prvić Luka, inspired by its beauty, and create in all possible techniques. Their work is mentored by top Hungarian artists and professors from art academies.
The story of the art colony began thanks to a deep love for our region and the dedication of two sisters – Roberta and Alexandra Faltisz – whose friendship with former Vodice Library director Sanja Radin-Mačukat led to the regular exhibition of these works in the multimedia hall on the upper floor of the Old School.
We continue this tradition with the opening of this year’s exhibition: Distant Shore.
9:00 PM – Concert: Duo Montanaro (Prvić Luka)
This program is co-financed by the Liszt Institute and the City of Vodice.
