16th Folklore Festival of the Šibenik-Knin County
On April 25, 2026, the 16th Folklore Festival of Šibenik-Knin County will be held at the Cultural and Arts Center in Vodice, starting at 7:00 PM. The festival is being organized for the second time by the Association of Cultural and Artistic Societies of Šibenik-Knin County, with financial support from Šibenik-Knin County and the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia.
Co-organizers include the City of Vodice, the Vodice Tourist Board, and the Šibenik-Knin County Tourist Board, while the patron is the Croatian Parliament of Culture. The festival will gather 12 folklore groups from Šibenik-Knin County, as well as guests from Rijeka and Stupnik near Zagreb. Their performances will be evaluated by an expert panel consisting of Krunoslav Šokac, PhD, Jadran Kale, PhD, and Josipa Martinović, professor, who will propose the most successful groups for participation in various national folklore festivals and hold a round table discussion with group leaders after the program.
The festival will be preceded by a ceremonial parade of participants through the city streets, starting at 6:15 PM in front of the Cultural Center.
Join us and support the 16th Folklore Festival of Šibenik-Knin County, which will bring together guardians of traditional heritage from Mirlović Zagora, Betina, Primošten, Petrovo Polje, Miljevci, Šibenik, Krapanj, Knin, Primošten, Kijevo, Jezera, Rijeka, and Stupnik. They will proudly present the songs and dances of their regions on the stage of the Vodice Cultural Center.
