Border & Tax Free

Necessary travel document is a passport or some other identification document recognized by the international agreement.

Customs regulations of the Republic of Croatia are harmonized with the standards of E.U. member States.

 

Foreign currency may be freely taken in and out of the country; local currency up to an amount of 15.000 Kuna. More valuable professional and technical equipment must be declared at the border.

Accompanied dogs and cats must have an international certificate issued by a veterinarian testifying that at least 15 days, but not more than six months have expired since vaccination against rabies.

 

 

Tax Free


Tax refund is possible for all foreign nationals.
Tax refund is possible for the goods purchased in one shop in one day, for amount of at least 501,00 Kuna.

 

Tax refund for foreign nationals is possible for all goods purchased in shops that have a "Tax Free" sticker.

Tourists have to take the goods out of Croatia and declare them on Customs within 3 months from the date of purchase. While leaving Croatia, foreign national is due to present a "Tax-cheque" form, which should be obtained from the "Tax Free" shop
